Moving to saltwater

I think it was the head of Interlux who recommended taking the boat out every 10 days or so, and get up to speed to keep the bottom and running gear as clean as possible. We do that, and have our bottom cleaned by divers monthly. Proper anodes. We have a cockpit cover to keep the Florida sun at bay, protecting the cushions and instruments. It also keeps critters out of the boat (which did happen before the cockpit cover). We like our Slidemoor system that allows the boat to ride up and down on the tide and no spring lines required.

We are 1.5 miles up a freshwater tributary with brackish water and find we have minimal growth. Zincs last 6 mos + and bottom pain is good for 3 years.
