is Sea Ray having anything special going on? Looking forward to viewing a number of boats that are on my radar for our footitis I’m looking to heal this year.

I was really impressed by what Sea Ray did at the Fort Lauderdale show, hope they repeat at Miami or do something similar.

At Fort Lauderdale they were out of the Marine Max umbrella - totally clean. We were on boats without going through a MM person.

I love the Miami show, but we are not going this year. Anytime we have available to be in FL we will be on the west coast.

Good hunting at the show Richie, hope you get over your ailment soon. There is hope, there is a cure!

right now, the 460 FLY is top on my list as the boat to beat. everything is great on that boat, except price. i am very interested in viewing the Beneteau Swift Trawler 44. that is an interesting boat to me.

I was just at the Toronto show and went on the 51 Signature, 510 Fly, and 460 Sundancer. Thehe 460 won out for us. The 51 is beautiful, but the cockpit on the 460 with that sunroof is hard to beat. You lose the large salon couch on the 460 but the cost difference between the two is huge.

Not a big fan of the 51 fly layout for some reason, I couldn't put my finger on it but it felt a bit cramped. It was the 3 stateroom layout.

There were some serious fit and finish issues on all three boats. I don't know their history and maybe they were demo boats but the caulking on the 460 was an absolute mess in many spots, doors rubbed in the cabin, hatches felt loose, etc. All three are way out of the range of anything I could ever afford but I have to think for someone putting that kind of cash down they will demand perfection.

Reach out to rusty.....pm me if you need his contact info - he will get you on whatever you need to see...just tell your wife to be careful LOL.....

Richie89.....

Have been following you for years my man, and do believe it is time for us to meet on the dock. Please come find me on the dock in Miami next month so I can personally take you to each model, and have the pro & con talk for each. Hanging with me will provide you unrehearsed dialog and honest opinions, and I will not try to sell you a thing.
After we're done touring the Sea Ray offerings, I will even go with you to the Beneteau dock and check out the trawler. I know those guys well and may be able to obtain real time data as your buyer protection agent, for your purchasing power.
You are a Sea Ray owner so if I can help you in any way, just ask.

wow Capt Higgins! that sounds awesome! I am planning on coming on Premiere Day (Thursday). I was thinking it would be less crowded and would be able to get better info. We're boating in Miami these days, and will be there permanently. We started our search within the last few months and have boarded the 400 Fly and a 460 DA at Lake Lanier in GA (a 460 FLY wasn't available to see), and a Prestige and Azimut (have ruled out both those brands). A 40-50 foot flybridge is what we want, and we are learning what we like by seeing multiple brands. Like I said, the 460 FLY checks off everything, just wish it was about the price of the 400 FLY (which is our price range).

I will come find you and look forward to meeting you!

Look forward to seeing you on Thursday !!!!...........be ready to believe what Mark is saying, lol.

I know MIBS is in multiple locations...I will be on Collins Ave where the yachts are located.

Oh, then plan on me coming on Friday if that's ok. I am going down to the Stadium area on Thursday, but planning to be at the Collins location on Friday. We can ride our bikes to your location, going to be way better than getting to the other one at Marine Stadium.

Hey Rusty, I’m a Meridian owner, but live down Sykes Creek from the plant. Any way to get a tour up there without going to MM to buy a boat??

Thanks!

Lady Cheryl is always welcomed with me....see you Sunday Mike !!

Richie, I will be there the entire show so please come find me on the Sea Ray dock.... Bicycles...smart man!

flyboyc, PM me a number and good time to call........if I am at the plant then for sure you can come visit for a tour. I won't sell you a thing but will leave you drooling over the new products.

Rusty

Rusty showed us the L52 fly in Ft Lauderdale
and I wish I could have traded my boat in at the show for it.
I think it’s the best set up Sea Ray has done in a while (bridge boats) make sure you get on her first Richie.

Hi Captain Rusty, I've been following many of the comments made on this site about how helpful you have been. My wife and I have had a 390 EC in the past and though currently "boatless", we are educating ourselves on moving to Florida and purchasing a boat for weekend cruises. Like Richie89, we will be at the Miami Show as well and would appreciate introducing ourselves to you and perhaps buying lunch or a cup of coffee. We will be in the Tampa/Sarasota area as well several days prior the show if that would be nore convienent. If unable to meet, then no worries. Thanks!

For those of you that have an opportunity to meet with Sea Ray’s #1 Ambassador, Capt. Rusty Higgins, at the Miami Show, you are in for a treat. We were fortunate to have that experience a few years ago. Even though I most likely will never be in the market for an L Class yacht, he was kind enough to show us the ins and outs of the entire line. He is a wealth of knowledge – use him (in a good way!) to your advantage.

Captain – Hope all is well. Even though I will be in the Sunshine State during the show dates, the real job will not allow me to get to Miami to see you and the Sea Ray line up. Maybe at FLIBS in November!
