Dock water pressure regulator

Does anyone know where the water pressure regulator is located on a 2006 48, Sundancer? The valve in the back behind the inlet appears to be just a check valve for when one is using the on board tank for supply.
 
I'm pretty sure what you are seeing is the regulator. That's what I replaced for low pressure and it worked.
 
It is located in the worst possible place you could imagine. Inside the transom storage, behind the panel that your water inlet is attached to. To get to it, you have to practically climb into the trunk, remove all the screws holding the two Starboard panels together, twist and turn the aft most panel to remove it, and pull the remaining panel with all your plumbing and electric out to expose what is behind it. With the skill of a contortionist, you can remove the regulator with tools trying not to break any plastic plumbing connectors or wire connections.

The only benefit to this location is that if the regulator breaks and starts spraying water out of the overpressure holes, it wont sink your boat.

I cut a 4" hole into starboard panel to get at all that plumbing. Then bought a cover for it. May be able to do something similar on your model. As I posted in the 400DB forum if I had it to do again I would have cut a 5" hole to give my hand/arm more room.

On the 48DA, add to that picture the power switch for the hydraulic swim platform, the cable TV and phone connectors, and the hand held remote for the swim platform and you have no place to cut a hole. Even if you did, the mess of wires behind there don't allow you to swing a wrench. To compound the problem, the water line is so short, that you can't remove the panel far enough to make it easy to turn a wrench. on the other side of the panel is a huge dead space that if Searay installed another transom door you would have room for two big fenders and access to the back side of the panel.

I have low dock water pressure, in our boat what we need to do, to change the water regulator?
Do we have this same piece?

If it were me I'd cut the hole then look in there and see what you have. I actually reduced a couple of clunky old connectors to just one new connection as part of stopping the leak. Basically I took that entire leg out and recreated it with new stuff.
 
My ‘06 260DA and my ‘07 44DB both had a Jabsco that looked like this Shurflo I replaced it with. Works great!

If the inlet is not integral to the regulator you may be able to remove it and pull the regulator and hose through. If you have the integrated inlet and regulator you can replace with the Shurflo Reglator (see Amazon) as mentioned. However, If you do have the original Jabasco do not go with that as a replacement as the new ones are crap.

When my regulator went on my 340SDA I replaced it with the Jabasco and it did not last - the metal fitting was only pressed into the plastic housing and instead of regulating the pressure it blew the connector off. The Shurflo is a hair larger (but it is easy of widen the hole if necessary) and looks to be a much better unit.

What Kevin said! I have replaced that crappy jabsco a couple of times & it's never worked right! Never buying those again!

I have the hole saw for the proper size hole for the Shurflo and I made a wood template that gets screwed to the mounting location to hold the saw steady. A perfect hole every time and even have dockmates scheduled to convert in the spring since I have the setup. Only takes about 10 minutes so no problem at all.

I pulled the starboard out of the port side of my transom locker, took a jigsaw to it, and had it all back together in 15 mins.

Next project is to replace cone washers in the Sea Tech connectors and stop the drips!
