Boat Info
1982 searay 360 vanguard
Engines
350 crusaders
Black water tank empty. Water full. Starboard fuel is at 2/3, trying to burn it up to correct the list.

Anyone else have this issue? Port fuel tank is full. She lists to starboard a good inch or so.

Percussion tested stringers they sound fine. There is some delamination on the board in engine space, starboard aft side that the muffler is mounted too. It's basically a fiberglass shelf mounted on the outboard stringers.

Are you concerned with 1" across the transom on a 360?
What side is the shower on and does it have a genny?

Shower is on starboard side. No genny. I guess it's more like 2.5" in hindsight.

Maybe the gens are mounted on the port side and since my boat doesn't have one it's off balance?

Not familiar with your hull so will chime out. Have heard of showers, drains among others being a contributor to water intrusion into the hull and is why I asked. 2.5" is a good list and would raise concern for me as well. Hopefully others will chime in.

Shower drains into the sump box, as does the a/c. Hopefully if it is do to frp the damage is already done and not increasing

Also starboard side of the boat is where the galley is located (fridge, cabinetry, sink, stove etc etc) and the head along with toilet and Blackwater tank on starboard side. And the a/c is on the starboard side.

I have an 89 340. The generator is out for repairs and it is definitely listing to the starboard side. I'm not sure if the boat came factory without a generator if they did anything to counterbalance that lack of weight. But if the generator was removed at sometime it will definitely list.

You made my day! That explains everything. Just as I suspected. My boat is a wierd bird. I have crusader engines and no generator. Just how I like it! Less to maintain and worry about, and my engine space is nice and clean with plenty of room.

My boat doesn't have a rotary battery cut off/selector switch either which is strange. I'll be adding one in the future

Also, my boat definitely never had a generator because there is no thru-hull for a raw water intake.

Maybe I can add some kind of ballast to the port side. I'd like to be able to use both fuel tanks and not worry about keeping one only so full to prevent list.

Add a large bank of house batteries where the generator would be. A couple 8d's would do it.

I was considering a few sand bags until my repairs are complete. At the very least it'll keep the starboard side of the swim platform cleaner. It isn't sitting in the water but it's low enough that water laps on to it. What does a 6kw generator weigh? 300 lbs?

MY 87 340 sundancer has the same list. No genny . House batteries are on port. but there is two small and one deepcycle in the box. im going to up grade the small batteries to atleast a group 31. should correct some list.
