...got a pump~out and water flush on a Friday; on Saturday, experienced very high winds in marina and LOTS of boat movement; then, already on Sunday, the "half~full" indicator light came on
Could this be due to the extreme boat movement? It usually does not appear "half" full for at least a couple of weeks.....

My first thought is where did you get your pump out? I've had it on a few occasions that the dock hand doing the pump out does a less than stellar job? Can you get a flash light and see where the water level is in the tank?

i agree with Jason on visually checking the level of waste in the tank using a flashlight held against the tank first....if the level of waste is around 1/2 full then the last pump out was not done properly and the sensor is working properly...I always make it a point to check the level indicator lights after a pump out before I leave the dock just to verify all the waste was removed....if the level of waste is not around 1/2 full then you could have a stuck float sensor....you can try knocking on top of the sensor rod with something like a rubber mallet to see if that frees the sensor.....if not you may need to remove the sensor rod to free up the sensor.....not pleasant but not hard to do....if you remove the sensor from the rod be sure to install it exactly as it is removed once the rod is cleaned.....the sensors are directional and if you install it upside down it will not work properly....

good luck...

I bet there's just something on the sensor. If your season has ended I would just fill will water and flush again...... or just wait a few days while you naturally fill it up again..... and then pump out again.
