Looking to buy

I know a guy who has a 400 sedan. Wants 99k without a broker. It’s in Kemah Tx.

I’m not sure exactly what the rpms are when I get on plane but your wot should be 2650 and your crusing rpm 2200. I cruise at 18knts and I can hit a wot of 2700rpms but I had to have 2.5” of pitch removed from my props. I can stay on plane down to about 12 knots but I’m not sure what rpms that is.

Here is what we need to help you. 1. Make sure your engines are up to temp, should be 160*. 2. Bring it up to wot and record the rpms on both engines. 3. While the boat is working to come up on plane take notice of the exhaust, is it black, white, and from what engine. 3. Pay close attention to your engine temps, they should go above 165*.

My not-so-rookie guess is simply you are overpropped. Most of the 460’s Sea Ray sold are over propped.
