I have an 07 310DA under a contingent contract at Lake Of The Ozarks Marine Max .
I'm going to look at it this weekend, and if all goes well have it surveyed next week.
Is there anything in particular I should look for myself?
I'm in the middle of reading the 310 thread.
Thanks in advance.

Stern-drives or V-drives?

I looked at a 42DB at Osage Beach, MO back in June and almost needed a survey. Do you have a surveyor picked out yet? I found, what I thought was a good one. David Davis, Cutting Edge Marine Services, used to work for MM. He went out of his way to call and talk to someone he knew at MM to find out about the boat I was looking at.

Good luck!

Bennett

V drives.
Dave Davis is the surveyor. I talked to him this morning, I like him so far.

V drives.

Ok, my items were specific to stern drives. I've had no (non-sterndrive) significant issues that were missed when I surveyed/bought my 09 310.

Skylights do typically leak if they've not been re-bedded since birth...easy fix but digging out existing sealant is little fun.

I used David Davis when I purchased my boat on LOZ. We came in from out of town to be there for the survey and found David to be flexible and thorough. So far after 7.5 years nothing has surprised us about the boat.

I am sure the surveyor will cover these things but some issues from the 06-09 Sundancers that I have seen are:
Norcold fridges going out.
Sump pumps not working correctly.
Make sure you run that generator for a while - not just start up. Put a load on it and run it.

Greg, IMHO that's a perfect engine for that boat. I had them in my 330 and was VERY happy with them. The boat would plane easily, run all day on plane if I wanted to and do it efficiently. I can't wait to see your baby.

Thanks Mike, however........ I remain optimistic, but you never know. I know to keep emotions out if it in case there's something not right and it's not all it seems.
I bailed on another one because I found out the generator had issues. The seller was nice and honest, but I don't want those kinds of problems right off the bat.

BTW, first time to Missouri. Pretty nice here.
The Lake of the Ozarks is really cool.

Nice layout! I really like the fold down seat on the stern & the cockpit grill!! Good luck with the purchase!

Thank you Todd.
Those are two features I really like as well.

Have your surveyor look at the catalytic converter on the generator. They upgraded the catalytic converter a year later. The old style would clog. Not a big issue. But something to keep in mind.

I had him do my Meridian 411 3 years ago and he did a fair job. When I completed the sale of the boat and took delivery when I turn on the kitchen sink the fawcet handle shot across the room. The master shower also had a pinched pipe that wouldn't allow water to the shower at all. He appeared to not check any of the plumbing. Fortunately it all worked out for me in the long run but be carful and check simple things yourself also. He'll come back with a value 500 dollars above your purchase price. He is adequate but do your due diligence. I recently surveyed a 52DB in Florida and he was about the same to deal with. Good luck⚓

Wow, that's good to know. Thank you.
