Having Problems with my 340 2004 dash switch panels. Intermittent not working. There is a port and starboard panel. How do you remove them? Also are the parts available from SeaRay.
Any help is greatly appreciated.
Thanks, George:huh:

Hi George,

Haven't heard from you in a while. Hope all has been well.

There is a recent post in the 280 Sundancer thread that covers a lot of the background. The switchpads and modules called EIMs (one switch pad connected to one EIM) are an integrated system. So an erratic switch on switch pad may also be caused by a malfunctioning EIM.

Assuming the switchpad is mounted like our 280, the pad itself has studs embedded in the casing. These go through the fiberglass and are secured by nuts and star washers. As I recall the 280 has four per pad, but yours may be different based on physical shape. BTW, the switchpad is a sealed unit, so trying to clean the switch contacts may be difficult to impossible.

Since basically nothing has been published on this system, I haven't a clue how it could be diagnosed. There are micro relays in the EIM that might be sticking, as well as circuit breakers that might have some kind of mechanical fault. But all of that is stuck to a circuit board.

That's about the extent of my knowledge on the subject.

Local sea ray dealer had both sides in stock when I replaced my port one 3 months ago. Searay has changed part numbers from original ones.

Hi. Am having issues with my left panel (2006 290 DA.) nothing responded last night, (no running lights particularily) but today certain combinations os button turned some lights on and off, and then didn't. What made you know your panel was the problem? Marty

I have the same issues with my starboard side. Works. Doesn’t work. No really doesn’t work. But a couple of the buttons respond. Hatch opened it. Won’t close it. Most of the port side work. But not all. Bildge lights don’t. Have switched out the starboard panel. No change. Switched out the circuit box in the engine room. No change. Started working for a couple of weeks. Now gone. Two mechanics are dumbfounded. Any suggestions?

Take our the center section and reach around. use a deep well socket to unscrew.

I know this is a very old post but if it is the helm panels flounder pounder makes a replacement with toggle switches. I have looked at two 320s recently, one had replaced the panels already and the other was failing. (hatch would open and close randomly, accessories wouldn't work)
