Alpha one gen one vs gen II?

Twin 5.7 Merc Alpha I

What are the differences between the to Alpha one generations I and II? I will need to replace my gen I transom assemblies this year due to corrosion and was wondering if there is any advantage to upgrading to gen II units.

Bigger impeller in a better water pump assembly too.
Also, if you don't already have a counter rotating drive, the gen 2's are a lot easier to find than the gen1 counter rotating drives.
