Sorry if this is covered somewhere. I have searched but can't find it.
I have spin on fuel water separators on the bulkhead forward of the motors. Are these supposed to just spin off like an oil filter or do I need to loosen the nut on the top of the housing first? I put a filter wrench on it but it didn't budge. Didn't push too hard in case I was doing something wrong.
And I've heard there is an inline filter at the carb. There is a smaller flare nut the backs up to a larger nut. What is the proper technique for cracking these open? Where does the filter sit? I bought a set of flare nut wrenches to protect the brass nut.
Is there a good service manual for these engines, that's actually specific to this boat?
Thanks again for all of your help!
