After looking for six months I think I've finally found one I'd like to make an offer on. Although it's relatively well used (>900 hours on genny, 438 hours on engines) it's mechanically sound, clean, and the fiberglass/vinyl is in good shape.

From what I can tell it has what appears to be the second highest asking price in the country. I haven't had a survey done yet nor taken it out for a sea trial, but assuming there are no major issues found and it's in good to excellent condition, what might a fair offer be?

Nice looking boat.

I find the seating arrangement a little odd that it's all on one side w/o a lounge seat where the frige and sink are located. Did they come in other arrangements for this year model?

Running a quick soldboats report for 02 and 03 30 Sundancers sold in the US during 2017 shows 5 03's with sale prices of 50, 45, 47.5, 44 and 33K. 6 02's sold for 55, 59.9, 44.9, 44.5, 44 and 20. The 55 and 59.9 both had 6.2's. Shoot me a PM if you want more detailed info.

I bet she has a serious list to starboard when loaded with people

Never had any problems with listing on my 2005 300DA. Great boat all around in general.

Something is going on with the cabin door on one in question. I've not seen metal like that on the front. The TV that's installed (original) wont work unless you pick up a analog to digital converter box or swap out the TV for a nice smallish modern flatscreen that will have a digital tuner in it. I have the couch layout vs dinette layout like this one so cant speak to any issues about it. Would be great if there is storage under those seats.

Thanks for all the information - I passed on this one and made an offer this morning on a 1999 Sea Ray 310 that's in much better condition. Seller accepted my offer and I'll be doing a sea trial on Tuesday.

Good catch. Seller said someone tried to break into the cabin in the past so he reinforced the lock area.

I think the 1999 310 is a better boat, it's bigger and I assume it has v-drives.

For me that would even things out a bit - if vdrives, I would have said the 310 hands down. Still think I might lean toward the 310, I've spent time on both. The thing you want to watch for on the BIII's is corrosion, plus on the 1999 it will have the older style BIIIs that don't have the additional anodes.

True. I tend to keep a boat for 8-10 years so I'm probably looking at having to replace these almost 20 year old drives at some point anyway. Doing the sea test and full inspection tomorrow morning, have also requested service records. Curious if they've ever replaced the bellows or even serviced the drives.
