IMG_5412.JPG IMG_5414.JPG IMG_5417.JPG We are looking for recommendations on aftermarket replacement carpet for our Dancer. We installed new carpet this past season and have been very unimpressed with the quality. The first mate is impressed with the vinyl woven mesh that she has seen. Any help, suggestions, pictures, etc. would be helpful and we greatly appreciate it. I attached pictures of our current carpet.

I am a dealer for Infinity Woven PVC and have done over 60 boats in Infinity. I recently did a 1999 450.

I think the flooring is the same as a '98?

Your carpet actually looks pretty good in the pictures.

I did Infinity through out my 98 290 DA by a local boat carpet company. Could not beat the price and it's so nice on the feet. Even did the swim platform. Ask around your marina.... I bet you find someone who knows someone. ;)

I like your table.

The woven PVC is an excellent product. I have it and love it. But I strongly recommend making your own template rather than depending on one from another boat matching yours exactly the way you would want it to.

Thank you! I had a friend of mine build it. He actually did two that can connect to make one large dining table. Since he did ours, he's built another 6-8 for other boats!

Be very careful using a pattern or template from a different year or even boat. Some parts of the 450DA assembly was done after the boat is basically assembled and are positioned by eye........table bases, the rear seat attachments and the corner side seat attachments. The seats are removeable and have folding legs on the 450 so where the seat bottom fastens to the aft cockpit wall can effect where the legs hit the floor. The legs usually fit in holes in the cockpit carpet and if the pattern is made for a different boat, the holes in the carpet can be cut and bound in the wrong location.....they won't be far off, but the carpet won't lay flat if they are not positioned almost perfectly.

Thanks Frank! great advice.

We put the Infinity carpet in our 450 DA last year and love it. Water just rolls off the carpet! We did notice two things as minor negatives. First, the carpet tends to get hot under foot (we have a light beige weave) and second is the noise insulation is not as good as with the carpet. However, we enjoy not worrying about carpet getting wet from rain or swimming as you would with 'real' carpet.
