Hello all,
The issues are with the stereo on my 2006 320.I've checked previous posts and can't seem to find any info on this. I have a Clarion CMD4 Head Unit with a Marine Audio MA-PA2.1 2 channel power amp. 6 Clarion speakers, 2 in the cabin and 4 in the cockpit. All factory installed. Towards the end of last season the right rear cockpit speaker went dead. Checked that speaker and found it was fine. Just noticed this past weekend that the left side front and rear cockpit speakers are dead also. No issues with the cabin speakers. Has anyone else had this problem? Is there a way I can check whether the problem lies with the amp or head unit without ripping everything apart? Thanks for any help.

Did you get an outcome on this as my 2003 320 is having the same problem and traced it to a number of faults 1. bad negative connection on the amp, 2. low voltage frm the batteries

Don't know if you fixed but I just getting same issues but im same speaker took the whole system apart I think its the amp MA-PA2.1 going to replace it and see pls if you can answer how did you fix it ill appreciate

Same issue on my boat. It's the amp. I'm replacing everything, mine's an 07, but just the amp would fix the issue. Going with a new, digital amp would be better for numerous reasons.

by the way
2007 290 DA port side on the cockpit it's out the cabin it's fine

1) I would not waist one second trying to find a 10 year old amp model
2) I would certainly not go back with a 2 chnl. I would upgrade to a 4 chnl so I could drive all speakers off the amp, none on the head unit. With that said, this may require an upgrade to the cabling as well, which I would suggest any way, as its a 10 year old boat. Wet Sounds, Kicker, JL and Rockford all offer very excellent quality marine class-D amp.

On a side note, "Class-D" does not mean digital, simply the term used to identify the power supply topology. Lots of great amps out there with super efficient class-D technology, dont worry about "digital"

I replaced the Amp with a Rockford 5 channel. http://www.rockfordfosgate.com/products/details/p1000x5
Then swapped out the 10" sub and put in a 12" sub.
Swapped the old 6.5" marine speakers for new 6.5" marine speakers
Replaced the head unit also.

Everything is Rockford for me.
