ive used photobucket for years , but now they are not accessible - to me at least.. im not giving them a dime or anymore info. this site only has an option for URL. what are the options?

As a site sponsor, I use the "upload file" button.

thanks, I was trying to use the small "insert" icon up top. didn't even realize the other button was there!

I'm getting "too large " how can i reduce-or other solutions?

Test run....
Didn't work. First file I tried to load was 3.36meg. Got the "file too large"
Second file was 1.5meg. Same result.
Third try 1.4. Same result.

How small does this file have to be before it can be loaded?

Hi GFS, I use MS Paint to reduce the size... it appears that a picture needs to be somewhere less than 1M.

I now use shutterfly the same way I used to use photobucket. What a pleasure...no more constant barrage of pop up ads - and no more "dial-up-type" speed when the page loads.

Photobucket's price for 3rd party hosting and no more ads is $400 per year. I guess it's a business plan...we'll see how it works out for them.

Unsure why, but my photobucket account (unpaid) is still letting me post externally?? It is unbelievably slow with all the SPAM popups and crappy crap. Took two minutes+ from the time I logged in until able to copy a URL

Picture test!!

I sent an email to myself allowing me to resize the picture to under 1 meg and then save that picture to my camera roll.
Still annoying but don't need to download another app to shrink picture.

Quite honestly, it's a pleasure to NOT have to fight my way through the nonsense on Photobucket any longer, but I have 10 years of pix in there and to find one does take an obscene amount of time.

OK, I give up. I don't see any diff between these three pics and they're all a different size. Wassup widat?

And why the huge white area beneath people's posts? Wassup widat?

Is there a way for the new site to automatically resize the picture? I used to use the upload but now everything is too large.

I signed up for Shutterfly but don't see where the links are for sharing.
