New site - self help thread

Chrome and Firefox...signature is back.

Does not seem to have a way to upload a sig pic, guess it is still being worked on.

Same problem here with the signature picture - I used the "Upload a File" while replying to a post, uploaded the picture and copied the link into my signature - it didn't work. But previously (old site) I recall you could upload a file right at the signature edit page.

I really miss the poster's location, number of posts, and boat specs that used to appear at the top of each post, near the poster's name. It helps to put the poster's comments in geographical context, and allow one to evaluate the applicability of that response to one's own boat and circumstances. Not everyone's signature includes their boat info.

Jeff, click on the member's alias and that info pops up. An extra step but it's all there.

Ok, I see that now, thanks, Ron. Not very convenient, though -- sure would like it to be on the post itself....

Wow -- ask and he shall receive! I just saw that it's there now! Thank you!!

Jim, any word on notifications? I know there were troubles with yahoo and comcast and now I'm comcast. I have a gmail address but I can't make a change to my preferences bc there will be a confirmation email link that must be followed, and I'll never get that link.

Jim...problem with "safe" emails and Comcast. If you activate the "Safe" emails function, you will only get email from "the safe." All others will be blocked. That's just not going to work. I have put emails@searay.com in my address book but I could find nothing in the help section and comcast user forums that says that will solve the problem.

I'm thinking I have to change the email address with Club Searay. I'm going to give it a few days and see. If not is there a way that this can be done outside the clubsearay.com system?

Jim is working on that, guess that did not move over with the site move.
I lost my sig pic too - I just deleted it. Now I'm waiting for an upload option...

edit - Just googled 215 Weekender and my old Pic came up..... I'd like to update it with a new one seeing that is about 5 years old.

I have a Flickr account, I copied the image address, opened the Image icon at the top of sig window, pasted the link in there and it is in my sig, I saved changes. Seems to work for now, if you have an online storage/sharing site it should work for you
