5th Annual Dominic Annunziata Memorial Rendezvous -Farley State Marina, AC, NJ

Sadly, Susan and I will miss as well. I have just had some training dates change yesterday - I leave for Montreal on July 9th for a month long Bombardier C Series training program. We will be missing all of you!

OH MAN! I'm gonna miss you guys - mainstays, staples and friends! :smt009

On another note, just spoke to the DM at Farley. The marina is jammed up and any further boats are going to have to be wait-listed. If you are on our list you are good to go. If not unfortunately we cannot guarantee you a slip.

So, as of this point, the trip is unfortunately closed out.

I just called the marina to give them my information. The girl I spoke with did not appear to know about the rendezvous but took my reservation anyway. I'm hopeful they got this right.
She did say she would let Nick know.

Nick said there are a bunch of new kids that started and college kids who are just back frim school. I have been assured that our list is all accounted for.

Howdy all. Sadly, we are not going to make it this year. Assuming I ever get my new (to me) boat home from Florida in time, the event conflicts with the Zac Brown concert in Camden, which has become a three-generation event for my family over the past few years. My parents aren't getting any younger and the kids will be flying the coop soon, so my window is closing. Sorry guys, family wins ... this time anyway! Plus we have a reservation at the marina right next to the concert, and pulling into that rinky dink marina in a 57' boat will be a blast.

So have fun, and take lots of pics, and note that my "Health Union" logo will be on the shirts for the 4th (or maybe 5th) year in a row.

Take lots of pics!

For those not aware, new (to me) boat is a 2010 57' McKinna, assuming survey and sea trial go well next week.

Wow, she is a beauty! Congrats to you guys on the new boat (yacht)!

I just called an gave my CC info to one of the kids (Nick was not available)...

Nice work ^^^^

Well feh.

I just called to confirm with Farley and they said everyone 42' and below will be on H dock. The manager wasn't in so I couldn't discuss the situation calmly and rationally without involving cousins Nunzio and Vito. But unless I can rectify that we'll probably not attend.

Frank, bring your splitter. You're on F dock.

Wow, H dock must be pretty bad. One of these days I hope to join you guys. But now that I moved out of Jersey, it'll probably be by land like Marshall. Have a great time and like always...lots of pics.

Thank you, Ron.

The last time we were on H dock it was like an all-day and all-night frat party. I guess if you are a frat boy it's okay.

There was one year that there was some strange behavior from 2 boats on H dock. Those boats are no longer welcome. The core of about 8-10 boats on this trip are solid boating people and good friends of our dearly departed Dominic. I can assure you that they are just embarrassed by the behavior exhibited by those two boats as anyone on F dock, and we have worked together to minimize the chances of that behavior ever happening again.

For those of you who think F dock is perfect...
Last year on F dock we had problems with obnoxious jerks and loud music at 0100 (this boat was not part of our group). Security was called, the jerk lowered the music til security disappeared back into the hotel, and then said jerk proceeded to turn it right back up.

We also had some chest thumping on F dock last year btwn friends of friends of members of our group, and another regular member of our group. Our member was trying to calm a situation and the friend/friend was being an a-hole. That friend/friend is not coming this year.

Please do not use unusual circumstances to paint a picture of this rendezvous. There are jerks at every marina - we all know it and we've all experienced it. And we also know that there's not much you can do about it, other than report the jerks, avoid the jerks or, if they are invited jerks, don't make the same mistake again.

I didn't mean to impugn the members of the group. Some 'people' who were not members of the group in 2015, we found to be disgustingly, outrageously obnoxious.

Based on that experience Cheryl refuses to go back to H dock. We didn't hear the ruckus last year, so Cheryl isn't upset about that. Now the mess the seagulls left after scavenging the leftovers... that's a different matter.

F dock was more like a Sorority than a Fraternity....
I'm good with a sorority. Really. No problems with that at all.
