Cleaning, Waxing, Polishing, and Maintaining

Jeramy recommends Meguiar's Flagship Premium Marine Wash for the every week wash.

As for applicators, maybe the experts will chime in.

The program still works; six coat later!!!

Has anyone tried using Soft Scrub to clean their haul with? I used it today with a buffer. I put it on straight just like liquid wax. Buffet the haul and rinsed. Came out like glass. Waxing tomorrow. I'll get pics.

Could anyone suggest a good cleaner for stained fiberglass?

I have some staining on the flat non slip surfaces (walking surfaces) where I can't get the blue or grey stains off of the rough surfaces of the swim platform and bow area. I have tried using bird and spider dropping products and brushing it in, but when I rinse, it might be a bit lighter, but it's still there.

Wood, I've had good luck using soft scrub to get just about anything off of my non-skid surfaces. I typically use it with a rag, if the rag doesn't work I go with a scrub brush.

I like to sprinkle 'Bar Keepers Friend' on the non-skid and use a stiff bristle brush and water to scrub the stains....then let the cleaner stay on the stains for around 10-15 mins and scrub them again with the brush then rinse off with fresh water.....the cleaner has oxalic acid which is an excellent oxidizer and will not harm the gelcoat...you may be surprised at how bright this can leave the gelcoat...

Bar Keepers Friend is very inexpensive and can be found just about anywhere like Walmart and Lowes and Home Depot etc...I always keep a good supply of it on my boat....works great to keep the swim platform clean....

Is this a record? 10 years old. In fairness it popped back up to a question asked only 4 years ago.

I picked up a great tip for cleaning non skid on here a month or so ago and it worked great.
Get a medium bristle carpet brush that fits in a drill (I use a cordless drill) and work whatever product you like (I also like Barkeepers Friend with a bit of water) in to the nonskid with the carpet brush. It rally comes out amazingly clean. I've also used a couple of, typical spray cleaners with great results. The key is to use something that is liquid.
I did the exhaust and some other mechanical work on my kids boat for them a few weeks ago. Despite covering the deck with moving pads to keep it clean there was still some spots that I had to deep clean and this set up made the job really easy.
I'm using Capet brushes sold by Chemical Guys on Amazon because I use many of their products to detail my cars and I'm a frequent Amazon customer, but the right brushes from any source should do the same thing.
