So let's hear about and see your cars.

I know you're all jealous. This baby is bone-stock. Cloth interior. Limited edition: only made about 20,000 of these. Go ahead and drool...

The Tbird was my fathers. It has 74k on it and is going down to the frame for a well deserved restoration. The car is still in excellent shape.
The Corvette is a very nice driver that needs a few small things here and there. But is in very good condition
The RZR is always undergoing some sort of modification and is a blast

FWIW, I'd prefer the 340 dual quad setup over the fuelie. Cool car. My dad had one identical to it.

So in a recent unexpected turn of events at my shop, I just ended up with a 2000 996 convertible. I'll likely flip it in a month or two, but it should be a fun driver for a little while as I get a few things sorted out with it. Only 61k miles also.

My DD/tow rig is a 2015 Chevrolet Colorado WT. 2.5L 4 cylinder/6 speed manual. The truck has quite a few small mods, a Trifecta tune and is about to get a Cat-Back, wheels and towing mirrors. It's an absolute beast with the boat behind it.

The garage queen is a lightly modded 2012 Mercedes C250 with a Burger Motorsports stage 1 tune among mods, with the Euro Elegance front swap. It comes out on sunny weekends but mostly lives on wheelstands under a cover in the garage.

I've also got a 2005 BMW F650CS "Scarver" that I tool around on

LOL. My dad got on my case about this also last night. Poor assumption on my part.

Not bothering with our daily drivers. I have an MKX, which I grow to hate with each new problem, and Cheryl has a Jag, both of which you can see on a dealer's lot. Ho hum.

I like old and having already "done" muscle cars, plus I'm not 20 anymore, or even 30, so comfort is nice; thus I've gone to the other side. Here are my three old cars and there's also a story behind each. All three have been in the family since new.

My dad bought this 1976 New Yorker Brougham as a special order. It's big. No I mean it's really big. I mean it's so big you can put the front seats fully rearward and the passengers in the back seat will still have plenty of room to cross their legs. I mean she's big!

This one has the 400 4BBL B engine instead of the standard 440 4BBL RB. My dad chose that because, equipped with the Lean Burn system, fuel mileage was better and it met emission requirements without a catalytic converter, which was still pretty new tech at the time. Without the cat, she could burn either regular leaded or unleaded fuel; she's not fussy.

We had been leasing Mark VIIIs for Cheryl, but when they stopped production, instead of leasing, we bought this 1998. When we leased the XJL for her, this became mine. Markie is an incredibly good car. I can still use her as a daily driver. Not bad for a 20 years old!

I had just had new tires installed when I took this photo in 2015. The dealer didn't pay attention to the directional wheels and installed the right side wheel on the driver's side. The left and right wheels are not interchangeable so they're always fanned the right way. Speaking of wheels... Those are actually from our 1996 lease return. This car came with the standard wheels, which we didn't like and Cheryl preferred these to the "Octastar" optional wheels, so the dealer switched the wheels with our 96's.

I bought this 1983 Imperial, Isabella, shortly before my college graduation. I started working my last two semesters, because real production coding was more fun than college projects. Since I was already working and saving, and because I loved the body styling, I decided to get one of these right after they went out of production. I found this one on a dealer's lot. An attorney had ordered her, but she was not delivered until after the new year. He wanted to purchase before year-end for tax purposes. Bad timing for him, but good for me. The only other one I could locate was gold and I didn't care for the color at all.

Total production for the Imperial's 3 year run was fewer than 11,000 units with the 1983 model year run numbering only about 1,400. That makes Isabella a pretty rare bird. Making her even more rare, she still has her EFI system as I never let the dealer convert her to a 4BBL. My current project it to get her back on the road. I'm carefully rebuilding the EFI pump as parts are very hard to find.

This is a very old photo, but Isabella is still in the same condition. She's not been driven in years, so I don't have a recent photo. But the engine work is nearly complete so I'm hoping to have her back on the road in a week or two.

Frank thanks for starting my weekend off on a happy note!!! That New Yorker is truly awesome. Your Dad's taste and choice on options was pretty forward thinking at the time.... I see the apple does not fall far from the tree for sure!

Take Care!!

OH MAN, This brings back memories!!!

When I came back to the US in '79 I was in deep deep LOVE with it's BIG cars after living with all the tiny tin cans we had in South Aftrica. I ended buying a '76 New Yorker just like the above with a 440 but in burgundy. I was 20 and thought I was the big deal! :) Soooo Cool.

BTW, I also had a Cardoba and a Lincolm Mark VII LSC. Must have similar tastes.

I had one of the first Linc LS V8's. The styling and handling of that car was outstanding, but the problems. Ugh. One day my neighbor approached and said, "what did you do with your Sable?" I starred at her blankly. I've never owned a Sable. Then I realized that she thought the 20 or so loaner cars I had while the LS was in the shop was a single car that I owned!

Is The Love Shack going through anyone else's head right now?

I got me a car, it's as big as a whale
And we're headin' on down to the Love Shack
I got me a Chrysler, it seats about 20
So hurry up and bring your jukebox money

Funny! (and a bit sad) :smt001

Just a few days ago I was at stoplight and the two cars in the lanes to my right were a 2000 LS Sport and a 2010'ish MKZ. My first reaction: wow. that LS is better-looking by miles. Second reaction: wow, that LS is under its own power at the age of 17!
