I browsed through the Sea Ray web site and was looking at the brochure for my 2003 Sundancer 360. I was reading where the table between the aft bench seats could be dropped into a slot between the seats and used as a sun pad. I verified that this does indeed work however..... in the brochure it speaks of custom filler pads to place on the dropped table top to make it a large padded area. The brochure stated the pads were stored in a hidden custom compartment but does not say where the compartment is located. I have not found any pads. Does anyone have any idea where they might be located?

they may be referring to the fiberglass filler that goes next to the table to fill in between the seats. I looks s just like the table. It is located on the underside of the engine hatch. I have the filler pads but i don't know of any place to stow them. We keep the in them under the steps, but they are still kind of in the way

I know about the table top under the engine hatch. I guess after reading the brochure I was left with the impression that they were soft pads.

I don't believe there is a "secret" location, more likely undisclosed. There was supposed to be a pad that would use the two "tabletops" to create a large sunpad in the stern area of the cockpit. Mine came with the two tabletops but no pad. Mine also was not delivered with the large banana shaped pad to convert the salon seat into a berth long enough for my eldest son. That one I felt I needed and had it custom made by a local upholsterer. Since have a full camper top, I don't feel as compelled to have the aft sunpad custom made.

I love my Sea Ray yet there are some features lacking. I guess I will have to have pads custom made. I also would have liked the padded sun pad on the front deck. It appears it was an option the original owner opted to skip. I suppose there will always be tiny features any boat could have to make an owner just a bit more comfortable. Over all I still believe the Sea Ray is one of the best engineered boats available today. Thanks for the comments.

Did you buy the boat used? If so maybe the previous owner never put the pads back onto the boat when he sold it. I have a similar setup but we do not use the "sunpad" feature of the cockpit table. So the pads are home in my basement. Pls remind me to stow them back on the boat if/when I sell!

If I remember correctly, both the filler pads in the cockpit and the bow were options. However, the dual tables came regardless. Strange, I know.
Either way, I don't know of any compartment big enough to store them. The salon couch houses the filler cushions for when the couch is pulled out for a berth, and the other side houses the vacuum. The cockpit bench holds the canvas (for those of us with the slant back, and not the camper). I have no idea where they could go.
Enjoy the boat! I love mine and am happy summer is finally here!

Is your sunpad that fits in the aft the same for your front deck?

No...they are different. The one on the bow is canvas. The one that fills in the cockpit is white vinyl, like the seats. I will try to grab a pic.
