What did you find wrong?

Cooler was empty...

Hey Mark, whatever you have above "Shelton, CT" in your sig makes every page that you post in cause my browser to show a red "Deceptive site warning" screen. It's complaining about Donzi.

You should have known better....a plugged vacuflush is in your future:smt043

Now you did it, just wait until next time. The boat gods might bring down their wrath.

You guys are right....I'll fess up, I had to replace a fastener on my starboard camper canvas panel. Oh, and the tray support for the microwave carousel, as the original one broke a wheel.

Yup. Same here.

Ok, it was a small animated gif. I deleted it.

So, I wonder what was "deceptive"? Was Donzi lying about top speed or horsepower? Colluding with the Russians?

LOL, strange thing is that it had nothing to do with Donzi. It was an animated gif that had a little guy in a boat going over waves.

Again sorry.

Last year was nothing. So I was due. I posted earlier about the ground wires melted. Minor issue. Found a shorted battery cell so replaced the bank. They were 5 years old so that counts as maintenance. Also noticed one engine not putting out as much water in the exhaust. So had the marina do the two impellers. It has been 3 years one one side and 5 on the other. Oops. Again, normal maintenance. Touch wood, that's it.

Happened about a month and a half ago, but these were my first time out failures. Installed a chart plotter this spring and in my travels under the dash pulled off the lead for the cockpit lighting. Hard water buildup on both front and rear freshwater sprayers causing them to stay on the first time the are used. Yearly occurrence but I always seem to forget to take some Emory cloth and lubricant the first time out.

Getting the 18' bowrider ready for my kids. Did the exhaust manifold and elbow as preventative maintenance. Absolute last thing to re-attach was the throttle linkage.
Put the linkage on, tightening the nylock nut on the stud, gently get two turns on it with small box wrench and the stud snaps.
No easy solution, so I take the carb to a local rebuilder who I've used for years. Basically we decided carb needs a rebuild anyway so now they have a rebuilt carb. More maintenance I guess.
Fire the boat up, runs great, checking to make sue everything works properly and find the float switch for the bilge pump crapped out. Hate those Rule Float switches. Always have bad luck with them. Anyway, twist like a pretzel and change the float switch under the motor.
All seems good now. Hope to launch this weekend and keeping my fingers crossed that nothing else pops up.
With all the stuff I've been doing to the kids boat this week I haven't had any time to bond with my own.

First weekend aboard at anchor and find out my Koehler 5K generator has an oil leak. Generator (1220 hours) shut down for low oil after running for 20 hours. Checked all usual suspects, no sign of where leak is from. Afraid it could be rear main seal. Project for this weekend, stay tuned....

Just before leaving the house, I flushed out the fresh water holding tank and let it drain out the transom drain. The drain couldn't keep up so the bilge pump kicked in and blew the end of the hose off. The white plastic hose seems to have shrunk in length, so I give it a tint tiny tug in order to reattach it and the end of the back up pump snaps off. Got the main hooked back up, went boating. Still have to buy a backup pump.
