power radar arch???

Has anybody retrofitted their existing radar arch with a new power type? Can it be done? I recently purchased a 2013 270 SLX. The arch is too tall to fit in my covered slip when the hydro hoist is fully inflated. I shut the hydro hoist off just before the arch reaches the roof of the dock. This is a real pain and I can't trust my kids to be as careful. It's a choice of rebuilding the dock or modifying the arch. Any suggestions?

I've got a power arch though it was a factory install. Based on they way it was done I assume it could certainly be retrofitted. It wouldn't be cheap though. Are you at a marina that is covered or is it a private slip? If it's a single private I'd be willing to bet it'll be far cheaper to raise your cover than add a powered hinge to your arch.

Mine is a private dock. I'm going to get quotes on raising the roof. After looking at a new SLX, I've decided it would be a challenge to add a powered arch.

If the boat is high enough then just put stops on the upside of your lift.
