After Going here and there hours on all the boat porn sites .The admiral even in pain form foot surgery and after looking at 270 then 290 then 30 which she all liked the minute she looked at the 310 the other boats were forgotten.Like with most purchases like this cars, truck, motorcycles she always gave me a ballpark figure then when I got close to finding something she would get involved and then would raise the bar.Survey came back good only thing mentioned was moisture by the bow rail stanchion which I've ask the seller have resealed and a passing sea trial with a mechanical survive. Now all I need to find a dealer that will take my 230 wk. in on a trade for a trailer.1999 310DA 350 mpi inboard .

fantastic boat. We have a 290 and I agree the 310 ( a dock neighbor has one) feels quite a bit bigger. The Inboards alone make it worth it. good luck!

Congratulations!

(And the Admiral sounds like a keeper!)

Congratulations! Good luck!

Hopefully we'll see you on Catawba Island this summer!

Cheers

Don't mean to rain on your parade, but how much moisture are you talking when the surveyor says "moisture by the bow rail stanchion"? Just trying to look out for your future.

dvx, Nice looking boat. How is it equipped as far as engines, genset, etc?

Tthere is a way to work the transfer of boats and titles through a dealership and if you're in a state where you get a tax credit for your trade in ((you pay tax only on the difference amount between the purchased boat and the trade in boat).

Basically, even though the dealer doesn't own the boat you're buying you would be paying him a fee (a couple hundred dollars) to handle the deal. He runs your new boat through his company so it appears he owns it, then does the sale and takes your boat in on trade and it belongs to him. You pay him the difference plus the tax. He then pays the current owner of the boat and submits the tax money to the state.

You will enjoy your 310. i really like mine.

Very nice boat! Good luck with her!

Just a question, your trading your boat for a trailer? Can you trailer something that big? Maybe I've misunderstood.

That looks really great. I'm quite envious. Congratulations!

Congrats enjoy!

We have a 2002 310 with V-drive 350's, genset. Great boat, the perfect size for us. Very stable, maneuverable boat. The only negative I can find is that the engine compartment is very tight, because there's so much packed in down there. Almost impossible to get to the bilge pumps, and the sea cocks are quite a stretch to get to as well. Overall though, a great boat for entertaining friends and family and very comfortable to overnight on especially with the generator.
Good Luck!

Well that took a turn for the worst my salesman just called and the seller is not willing to reseal bow rails and address any moisture problems. After seller talked to the service department he said he does not want to open up a can of worms to address the problem so the hunt is back on.Thank you all for your support and advise but I'm not buying someone else's problems.Kudos to Tom Vickers at Skipper Buds for looking out for my best interest.
