We have a load of Simrad NSS12 Evo2's coming in. Simrad calls them Remans but they are fresh in the box, as new units. They simply carry a 1 year warranty from Simrad instead of 2. These units are only $1,999 while supplies last. If you missed out 8212 deal then you should jump all over this, it is actually an even better deal since CHIRP sonar is included. Would this interface with existing Raymarine products? I understand the radar array would need to change but what about the other electronics?

It can integrate with anything that is nmea0183 or nmea2000 compatible. So it will basically share numeric things like boat position, active waypoint, depth, etc.

But the radar from my 2003 would need to upgrade to HD, right?

Post it on on HT and you will likely get some feedback. ALot of Simrad users on there. I have a feeling the answer is no, and could be more hassle than it's worth.

Evo 3 is due out soon, but that is a good deal he is quoting. I have the 12 now..nice unit.

looking at the 16, possibly next year.
