I'm in the process of purchasing a 1987 340 Sedan Bridge. I plan to purchase a trailer for it.
Loadmaster asked a couple questions I understand the need for but was surprised it was not information available to them.
I have done an internet search with no luck.
So looking to the Sea Ray Community for help.
What they are asking is distance center to center of prop shafts.
Anybody have that information or an idea where I might find it?
thanks
Mike

That is a big girl to trailer!
Not certain that that dimension is going to be a spec that anyone has just lying around.....

I'd give the owner of the boat or whom ever is brokering it and ask them to take the measurement for you.

Owner has passed, Boat is in the water and Broker knows very little about the boat. As to size to trailer. 11'11" beam requires a permit but no chase cars. Dry weight is 10,600 lbs and I will tow it with my F550.
No radar arch so height is under 13 ft.
Don't plan to trailer often but from home marina in Phoenix to Lake Powell in Page once a year and down to San Carlos for a couple months every year.
Not something I want to do every weekend.

Work a deal with the broker to split the cost of a haul out? Have it blocked and then measure.

Missed out on the boat. day late and a dollar short.
The search continues. Lots of sundancers for sale in the area but really would like the Sedan Bridge.

Check out my 1985 Sundancer 340 with total renovation in 2015. Its flawless. Can find it in Club searay classifieds. Will assist in shipping costs. Im at topnote@aol.com.

Nice boat but out of my budget for a 34 footer. Transportation costs to AZ. would be even more out of Budget.

Correct me if I'm wrong. the Sedan bridge models are direct drive while weekenders and sundancers are V drives?

Next question. Has anybody Added full closed cooling to a raw water cooled boat? Any idea of cost?

I added a half system to my 88 Sorrento. Around $1000 with self installation. Depending on the set up a full system will be more. For stern drives, the alpha 1 out drive is not strong enough for a full system. V drives and direct drives already have thru hulls so that should be sufficient for a full system.

Weekenders are straight shaft.
Sundancers are V drive with the aft/mid cabin.

The 'Weekender' name (and someone can correct me if I'm wrong) was used for 30's and below.
On the 340 to I believe the 390 in that vintage the straight shaft boats were referred to as Express Cruisers.

Another question. I tried the search function but got so many unrelated threads I gave up.
I'm curious what fuel consumption numbers are for the 340 DB. Carb 7.4's.
At RPM and MPH at cruise and hull speed would be nice.
I know I don't ask for much but GPH would be great as well.
Far fewer DB's out there so SD or EC numbers would do and I'll figure the heavier DB will burn a bit more.
thanks in advance.
