Haven't used the boat much this summer but did a weekend trip last weekend. Starboard motor lost some oil pressure and minutes later the Smartcraft alarm went off showing oil pressure sensor. Can I get this part at NAPA, WM or should I use a Mercruiser part. Also, any idea where it's located.

Thanks!

There is an oil pressure sensor that sends an oil pressure signal to your guages, there is also an oil pressure swtich that shuts off the fuel pump when there is no oil pressure. Both are located port side below the spark plugs. The pressure sensor does not have to be a Mercruiser part, can get them at WM, NAPA etc. The oil pressure switch might only be OEM.

Motor ran fine, oil temp was fine and once the alarm went off my pressure returned to normal (same as the port motor). The SM guage showed oil pressure sensor so looks like I'll be changing it out. Anything I need to be aware of when changing it or is it pretty straight forward?

Should be pretty straight forward - screw the old out, screw the new one in and connect the wiring. Make sure the threads are clean, it has to have a good ground. The one thing I am not sure of is if there is anything special since you have SmartCraft.
