It really bothers me that almost all Sea Ray Yachts I see have rusty crappy looking wiper arms. I have been looking for Stainless ones but I cannot find any (if you know a secret please share). Long story short, if they don't exist then I am going to take a new set and get them cerakoted from a local company I do some business with. My question is: does anyone else have any interest as I was thinking we could get a deal if I did a big group of them. I am thinking it will cost about 100 bucks a set.

Let me know your thoughts.

Thanks

Josh

You're going to put windshield wipers on a SeaDoo? Pics please

Beyond a rattle can paint solution, you could just have them powder coated for less. $100 is a lot for two windshield wipers IMO.

Wipers and arms are black for a reason on cars, aircraft, and boats - they don't reflect sun rays into your eyes. If yours are rusty, just replace them...

For anyone looking for a less expensive solution, SEM Trim Paint works great on wiper arms. I painted the wiper arms on my Saab two years ago and they're still looking good.

Apparently I need to update my profile as I now have a 460 as well as the Seadoo's. Anyhow, it makes since they are not shiny except the entire window trim is stainless so not sure what the wiper arms would hurt. Either way, it must just be me but the rusty old ones drive me crazy and powder coating may be an option. I'm going to grab 2 new ones and have them cerakoted and I'll put the pics on here when all is done!

I lightly sanded mine with some very fine sandpaper to remove the rust then followed up with some flat black Rust-Oleum paint. Quite pleased with the results.

My current ones are horrible. As in waaaay past salvageable. I was thinking I would get a new set and have them coated. Maybe it's not worth it, but when I walk down the dock it seems every boat's wiper arms are rusty.

Thanks Doc! I wish I would have had that a couple weeks ago. I purchased new ones from Marine Max for 120 for the set plus I have to coat them. I couldn't find this stainless ones anywhere but I will save the link in case someone else asks or the coating wears off. Do you think I need those special 60.00 blades or are the Walmart ones acceptable?

AM Equipment - amequipment.com
They have the correct stainless replacements and upgrades.
They are also a Sea Ray OEM supplier.

I replaced my entire wiper system and added washers; all of the parts and pieces from AM Equipment. Very happy with quality.

Ok I'll call them tomorrow and see what they have to offer. I have been planning on sanding and painting just haven't gotten around to it, but I don't have an issue replacing them as they are 14 yrs old.

Has anyone replaced the motors yet? Maybe I'll put it in the 360 thread as it might be model specific.
