Hi All
So out yesterday and the low water pressure alarm came on. 2 beeps every minute. Drives have recently been serviced.
Engine ran fine though. Temp was good as was the oil pressure. Im guessing its just the sensor but wanted to ask if anyone has experienced this before.
Also where is the water pressure sensor located on an 2006 4.3 MPI?
Thanks in advance.

When you say that "the drives were recently serviced" did that include new impellers in the lower units?

Did you get an actual water pressure alert on the SC, or are you assuming the 2 beeps equals that? You may actually just have low drive fluid - which is normal after changing drive fluid because of air bubbles. Check the fluid level and also that the float isn't stuck at the bottom.

Hi Dennis
the fault was on screen. Low water pressure sensor. Sorry I should of mentioned that

Check the schematic, but the sensor is probably on the power steering cooler at the rear of the engine. Easy to take off and fit a gauge to verify, or swap between engines to see if it follows.

I would do exactly as Paul said and start by swapping sensors. That would be a good first step (and hopefully the last!).
