NOT sure if it's in the same place as mine.....I'm in a 270 SLX AND I have a sony setup, but if you want another place to look, mine was located not at the helm but on the unit the helm control was wired to, which seems to be the main heart of the system, behind a flip-down door under the glove compartment on the port side. So what I am saying is, if the Clarion has just a control pad at the helm, look for where the wire from that terminates and you'll find it there, I would think.

My vessel is a 320 same year - it is a sub jack on mine under the radio remote pad at the helm on the vertical surface. It has a rubber black cap and is just smaller than a lighter plug in diameter.

I'm looking at a pic of my helm and I don't see anything on the vertical part of the helm other than cigarette lighter thingy, and next to that I think it's a temp sensor

Based on the year of the boat your radio might be the XMD3. Is that correct? If so the radio comes with Aux connectors on the back (2 RCA jacks). To use them you (or someone before) you would have to buy an RCA to mini-jack connector and plug it in and then mount the mini jack end somewhere you can plug in your iPhone/MP3 device.

Ok cool I did a little research and I think that's the answer. I'll drop the panel this week and hook one up. Thanks!

What Bill said is correct, You have to pull the radio out to access the back of the radio where the wires are. When I did mine I put a splitter in and mounted 1 inside the electrical panel and 1 outside at the helm.

What part did you buy that let you mount an aux jack instead of just having a wire hanging?

I have the same year boat and I installed a bluetooth device to the RCA Aux Input. Works great and I don't have to have my phone down in the cabin.

i think im gonna do the simplest answer for this season and next season install a fusion stereo with all new speakers

At one point there was a discussion on this. My 320 had a AUX plug in the cabin that never worked. I believe the consensus was that Sea Ray had wired the AUX jack to wrong jack on the radio. I had to remove the radio to get to the back of it and then ran a aux cable up to the helm (coming out near the drink holder bottom right side of captains seat) I left enough slack to be able to work my ipad/iphone or hand it to someone next to me, if they didnt like my music  I keep an ipod there, plugged into the power outlet, I turn on a play list and drop it back into the cup holder. Pretty easy solution, but not as elegant as some other suggestions. You need to plug into one of these female jacks.

Just google Blue Tooth Adapter. You can get them from Amazon to Best Buy to many other places all for less than $50. A couple of minutes to install and you're set.

Highly recommend the blue tooth add-on. I have used several, and the Fusion MS-BT 100 has the best range of all them. Disregard the box that says for "Fusion" radios, they work on any AUX input setup. They also come with double-sided tape preset and a screw mount. I used the double sided tape and placed it as high up in the breaker cabinet (outside under lip) as possible.
