It's official, got her home!!

Glad it worked out.

I assume since you said hauler, they would go by land. Why wouldn't you hire a captain to drive the boat for you?

I was comfortable running the boat. Just simply time/scheduling and convenience, I just wanted it delivered to me.

Just curious..... 120 on plane. How much fuel?

Not bad considering. Boat had between quarter and half in both tanks when I took ownership. Marine fuel in Miami was $5/gal (go figure, $3.50 at my home marina!) so it cost me exactly $600 to fill up. I ended with the same amount of fuel, between quarter and half....well, I guess a little closer to a quarter, when the trip was done. So basically, around $600. But that number would've been in the $420 range if gas in Miami wasn't so outrageous. The hauler was going to charge $500.

Very cool! So essentially, you got to spend five hours getting to know your boat and it didn't even cost you much more than the hauler would of charged. OUTSTANDING! :smt038

So roughly 33gph? Man you were haulin' arse!!

I was pushing harder than I normally would be, but was trying (unsuccessfully) to beat the darkness as I wanted to get to the new slip with daylight. All worked out, though. Backed her in perfectly on the first attempt in total darkness.

You forgot to add you're a pro-texter while driving her home!

Congrats Shaun.

Mark

At least I wasn't "alone" on the trip. Thanks again!

Where did you find the hauler?
I hope the marina didn't recommend them.
Good story, nice boat.
Good Luck

No, unfortunately it was craigslist. I use CL a ton but this is the first time I've been burned by it.
