Memorial Day Air Show at Jones Beach, New York

Feel better now... You guys got 10 feet on me...

I take it back... Stay out of the Amityville cut..

I only need 3 feet... And normally I see 3.5 at the lowest point and that's only for like 2 seconds... Most of it is around 4.5 at low tide..

But yes in your 58DB I would probably go Babylon or Lindy...

Sorry for the bad advice

Shane the sea tow capt was trying to help me out when the bouys weren't out yet and advised me that he wouldn't run my boat through there so I listened. The Lindy cut will add an additional 1-2 (can't remember) no wake zones to your trip. I was told if I have 3' under my boat she'll float but I need to add 18" for prop clearance and at $1000 to recondition props I'll go the safe way.
whatever is good for each particular owner is always best..

I hear you loud and clear!

Btw... Although i will not be rafting with you guys I will be there with a couple of boats too.. I'll make it my business to come introduce myself as long as I can steal my friends dingy or paddle board... If anyone gets there early on Friday and wants to grab me a pole (I know it's not good for your large raft but it will work perfectly for me and my crew) I will be forever greatful... We should be there Friday evening after work sometime...

Looking forward to meeting some of you...

Hey all. I think we will join you on the trip as well. Our boat is going in this weekend and we should be at our slip in JC by Friday. Where are you staying in JC? We should hook up for dinner there. If ok, we will follow you out on Sat morning.

Welcome Bob! Some people coming from Jersey or the CT coast are planning to stay in an anchorage near the Statute of Liberty then heading out on Saturday for the ride to Jones Beach. I am sure you can link up with them. We'll keep the lights on for ya in Zach's Bay!!

Bob follow the marked channel to the anchorage area I'll probably be there earlier than the rest of the guys. Email me if you don't have my cell and I'll give it to you.

We will have an additional CSR member joining us for the day on Sunday. He contacted me offline. Howard and some of his family, Hydrotherapy7, will be there for the day. He has a 310DA.

Vinny told me that was your plan when I saw him this morning. With you guys planning a later departure, I guess I may be the first one there. If so, I will try to get situated near our usual area (toward western end of Zach’s Bay in the vicinity of the buoy with the pump out boat info). I will try to drop a few markers or set up my float to “reserve” some space. I can’t wait and am looking forward to this!! Now I just have to get the provisions onto the boat.

Hey guys. We will stay in our marina in Jersey City Friday night and load up our boat and will be ready to roll Saturday morning. I just bought a dinghy and lift. Will I want that for the raft up at Jones Beach or is it not necessary? Joe, I will email you for ur cell so I have it to correspond. Looking forward to it!

Larry as much as I love the Coasties it wasn't a rescue, it was more of a transport to the hospital. As you know we're all pulling for a fast and full recovery ..

Well guys we are officially out for Memorial Day weekend, as most of you know I broke my knee cap in a boating accident last weekend. At this point all I have to look forward to is the Auguest flotilla... Hope you guys have a great trip and will be watching for the pictures. This was not how I wanted my 15 minutes of fame....:smt021

That sucks, can you share what led to the injury to try and help someone else prevent the same thing happening to them? Hope you have a speedy recovery!
