Has anyone had experience with glen denning repairs? It stopped working on the sea trial. (Operator error.) And now there is a whirling sound coming from the throttle housing at the helm.

Spoke with Glendinning. Common problem. Retention pin. Snapped cable or a plastic part on the MASTER throttle. If it were the slave, the rpms would go to max. Mine goes to idle. I'll let you know. Thanks.

What did the surveyor say about the operation of the synchronizer?

You have to learn the procedure for sync in the engines. On ours once sync is engaged push port throttle wide open then operate both off the starboard throttle.

No, it shouldn't make a difference. There are tension screws that can be adjusted on the throttles.
