Transition at Sea Ray

Best of luck Matt. Though we never met, I was impressed with how you attend to people's issues with their boat or SR. Not many, if any, large corporations do that. Best of luck to you.

Sorry to hear you are being forced to leave Sea Ray. I know all to well how difficult it is to be forced to leave a company you love. Your contributions here have reflected very well on the brand and it's commitment to its customers. Very disappointing that the compnany would let go such a quality employee. And it is really our loss in the long run.

I only had one direct interaction with you, and you quickly put me in touch with a resource who could help me. Impressive response from a large corporation to an individual owner.

I am a business owner and have had to make tough personnel decisions. Sometimes highly qualified and great people get impacted by fiscal responsibility. Sometimes we regret those decisions later, sometimes they end up being the right decision in the long run.

I was impressed by the marketing campaign you have run. I just told someone a story about the Sea Ray marketing. I mentioned that I drove 6 hours to attend the NY boat show this year for the SLX launch. I am not really in the market for a new boat, but your campaign compelled me to drive to NYC, spend the weekend ($1000), just to look at a new line of boats that I didn't think I even wanted or needed. So from a marketing perspective - home run.

Thank you for your efforts over the years! I especially appreciated the way you set us up with last minute tickets to the show in Miami one year, on Valentine's Day weekend none the less.
 
Matt, I have never met, or spoken with you before but I always enjoyed reading your posts and updates on the new SR models. And I agree with the other posts, that you have demonstrated the classy way to exit a job. Best of luck in your future endeavors.
