Looks like we are going to drive to it next week. I know nothing about the area. It seems you can't park on the island of the show without some special pass, so I'll be parking inland and taking bus or water taxi ride over.

Any advice on where/when to park and how to get to/from the show would greatly be appreciated.

I am curious about this too. Collins Ave. is easy but I'm not sure about this new location.

Was going to give advice, but I see they've moved the show's location - no idea now...

I just bought a Valet Parking Pass at Whiskey Joe's which is the closest parking to the Miami Marine Stadium (show location). You can also park on Virginia Key Park and then I think they shuttle you to the show....

Thanks deenbob1. I did see those sites. I am looking to see if there is any local insider knowledge that isn't obvious from those sites.

For what it's worth, Bill, we're still trying to figure out where to park too! It's going to be a wild ride this year (first year in a new venue after 20+ years in the same place.)

So did anyone attend yesterday?

i think Alex or Steve did. I went today. Reserved parking lot B, worked out well. Show was probably the best I've been to. Going to Collins Ave. show tomorrow.

Yes, I attended the show on Friday. For reference, I prepaid for valet parking at the Marine Stadium and it proved to be a very good decision. No lines for shuttles to deal with or no long walks to the parking....tents were set up very well with large labels of what was inside.

I spoke with Alex and he did Collins Ave. and Marine Stadium in one day and it proved to be a nightmare for him. He said he waited on a line for the water taxi for one hour and then it was a 1 hour taxi ride. We witnessed crazy long lines for the water taxi at the Marine Stadium location. Obviously, being at a new location proved to have some problems they need to work out for future shows.

I think it best not to try and do both areas in one day. I personally had an agenda to spend time in the tents researching a water maker and satellite phones & Internet. So I knew I would save Collins for Saturday. Since Saturday's forecast was was looking excellent (we had horrible January weather wise), we decided to take advantage of the weather and use the boat. Presently on the hook right now...Plan is to go to Collins ave. tomorrow and hope the crowds will be down after the weekend..... Will see......
