No gremlins. Just a 28 year old NEW boat. Come see for yourself! Going to the boat today. Canvas is done. Bringing it back to the marina tomorrow. Will post photos.

Re: Something bad already happened....

PPS I would recommend getting a new coupling which General prop will fit properly to the new shaft so you don't have to worry about fitting the old one.

Update:
I had new 52 1/2 inch long AQ22 shaft made locally and had a new coupler faced to the shaft. I had an entire spare matching set made so I would be ready for any such tragedy again. I also found a prop at the local shop in Norfolk VA. Minor ding in the boat bottom upon hauling out. Biggest problem was getting the old coupler off. Had to cut the old shaft off with a carbide blade - took over 2 hours with a sawzall. Coupler would only move 1/4 inch, no amount of force/heat would budge it. While everything was out I took the opportunity to install PSS dripless shaft seals. The strut was bent slightly out of true and the cutlass bearing was shot. Three weeks waiting for parts an a week in the boatyard and she runs smooth as silk.

Of course, since its a boat, two weeks later the Norcold frig died........

Replace the Norcold with the Italian Vitrifrigo. Get it at Defender.com A great refrig. Install an additional 12v fan connected to the existing fan to move heat out of the space behind the frige. I put a 4" fan in the wall between the frige and the sink up high so the heat blows in to the compartments behind the backsplash. Seal the area with foam so the air doesnt just recirculate. This will dramatically extend the life of the unit.

I'm looking to replace the striping on the top of the hull not the boot strip

I have the two inch blue and 3/4 grey

anyone know where i can find it?

Check with a local sign shop. That's where I got mine a few years back.

Hello all, new to thread. Any have to replace what I believe to be a Stebel Nautilus air horn compressor and if so, with what, thanks

I have and found some things, looking for something a little more specific and if anyone has done a horn job. Your resto looks awesome, what did you do with the horns?

I finally got around to putting on the old SCUBA gear (my BCD shrunk quite a bit) and changed out my 19" x 18" 3-blade props for 19" x 17" 4-blade props. Should have done this a long time ago. The respose time around the dock is quite impressive compared to the old 3-blade props. Docking is now less eventfull. The boat jumps out of the hole quite a bit quicker as well. WOT 4200 / 28 MPH (good enough for the style of boating that we do) Between my "Pietro-Tab" and the new props 17 MPH @ 2800 RPM and still on plane. This just has to save some serious boat bucks over time.
