So on my 175 3.0 i used a nylock nut, lock washer And washer with (teeth) to sandwich behind my alternator adjustment bolt...... Tada No more loosening issues. I used washers to shimmy power steering pump so the pullys are aligned now.
suprisingly im down to 2 issues A not so bad crank oil seal And my warm starting issue That i cant figure out
the choke plate on top stays open as it should unless it sits for hours Then it slowly closes. If i run to operating temp ad shut it down It will fire back up immediatly. Anything longer than id say 10 min. The longer it sits The harder it is to start.

any ideas are appreciated

My Tbi dumps gas in immediately when the motor starts to roll over and tends to flood. Then I used to go pop the hatches and pull the wires to the injectors and she fires up after about ten seconds of cranking. Nowadays after I shut my engine down, I open the throttle wide open again to allow anything unburnt to vaporize while its shutdown. It works everytime, if I don't forget to leave it open. Something you may want to try even if your carbed.
