new 400 sundancer and 400 Fly?

I like the idea of cruising with the air on in warmer weather.bringing the galley up should add space to the cabin and help keep it cleaner down there.Wonder why such a thick roof, will it ride top-heavy?

I love it!

The top looks retractable, if you need sun you can have it. Also, what's the first thing people do with the previous Sundancers? They close off the cockpit with canvas to keep themselves out of the sun or other weather, myself included. This new design keeps you from having to fumble with all the Isinglass and canvas and figuring out where to store it on the boat.

Can't wait to see it in person. Will this boat be the Cleveland Boat Show Spring 2016?

Agree that it should not be called a Sundancer. Maybe a coupe or something like that. And it is derivative of a lot of other boats out there (cough~~~ Prestige ~~~ cough). All that said, it is quite sharp!

For what it's worth, I just got back from Engineering and Design down in Florida. Sea Ray has an amazing SUNDANCER in store in '16. I haven't been this excited about a new product in 4+ years. Has the potential to rock the express cruiser market Sundancer helped define. If sun and open air are more your thing, hang in there just a little while longer. (Given the market direction, this coupe style was a glaring hole in our portfolio, and a fairly natural extension down from the enclosed express boats in the L-Class. It doesn't mean we've given up on the open air folks.) Sea Ray is currently delivering 11 (!) new boats per year, which means we're at work in a lot of different product categories.

Thats the best news I've heard about the boat market in several years!

Not my cup of tea. Maybe in person it looks better. I agree with the others who feel it seems claustrophobic

I just wish that these larger, new boats were affordable. My dealer is sitting on a 2015 510 fly for 1.8 million retail. not L class.... But a meridian 490 pilot house in 2005 was 500k or so. I know that's 10 years ago.... But holy cow.

You can call a boat whatever you want :)

I love it. I'll never be able to afford it, but it's the kind of boat I would like to have as I get older. There are times I want to socialize with a group, but be in the A/C, dry, with great views...this gets me there.

Nice job Sea Ray - I love it, love my current boat (although you make finding parts very challenging), and hope to stay with guys when we look for that next boat. 38 to 42' is our goal in about three years.

I bet this boat will do well, especially for year round boaters in the SE, and the West Coast.

I don’t see a table in the salon. If you don’t have one, that may be a good addition for eating, and to use a lap top. Our boat is also a second office for me, and I would use that table often.

This is a really nice design for a coupe, fit and finish impresses as well. Regarding Coupe design vs open cockpit i can only tell you that we absolutely love the 48 with open. In the north east we cruise only 4 months of the year and i do not want to be enclosed. Our last trip was 9 day and i only had the canvas up for 2 hours due to the thunderstorm. If i were located in florida, the coupe design might appeal. Very Nice Job Searay.

Looking good. I look forward to seeing this boat at FLIBS this year. As we discussed a couple of years ago I was waiting to SeaRay to make this type of boat in the 40-45' range. This is where my next boat will likely be.

I can see how some don't like the closed cockpit, but as someone who cruises longer distances in the summer I want to escape the heat. (And I'm not in my 50's or 60's ;)
