Anyone have any pictures or early info on the new 400 sundancer and 400 flybridge that sea ray seems to be announcing formally next week?

Looks quite a bit like the new 47. I would really like to see the dash layout.

Sea Ray, please find another name for these boats....not Sundancer, they are not a place in the sun... look claustrophobic to me!

I like the boat but agree that it really deviates from the classic Sundancer mission. They should've called it a Express Coupe or something like that.

You may not be used to the look but I bet she is a real performer!

I like it overall. It is similar in some areas to the Cantius and others, but this is the new direction. Not implying it's better, just is what it is. I think many people buying these boats in their 50 and 60's had their share of sun exposure when young, and like the fully enclosed hard top.

It it is more of a coupe than a dancer, imo.

The view looking forward through the windows is very similar to mine. those mullions along the side will cause some vis reduction, but it's not a big deal if you are careful in crowded Areas.

anyone have a picture of the lower berthing area?

Is that dance floor of a swim platform included in the 40' LOA or is that sucker considered an extension?

If nothing else, these new Carvers are certainly going to bolster the resale value of our old open Sundancers. I bet they're great in the rain and the snow, but in "boating" weather I'll take my arch and open cockpit every single day.

Side-note: is anyone else wondering how much of a blind spot that huge A-pillar is going to cause? I took my fenders off my bow rails because I didn't like how much they blocked my view. I can't even imagine sitting behind a 10" wide A-pillar in a crowded marina.

Reminds me of a Grand Turismo by Beneteau. Wasn't really impressed with them either.

For what it's worth, I just got back from Engineering and Design down in Florida. Sea Ray has an amazing SUNDANCER in store in '16. I haven't been this excited about a new product in 4+ years. Has the potential to rock the express cruiser market Sundancer helped define. If sun and open air are more your thing, hang in there just a little while longer. (Given the market direction, this coupe style was a glaring hole in our portfolio, and a fairly natural extension down from the enclosed express boats in the L-Class. It doesn't mean we've given up on the open air folks.) Sea Ray is currently delivering 11 (!) new boats per year, which means we're at work in a lot of different product categories.

SeaRay - are you reading this?????

Took me a while, didn't fall all over the L class initially.

But - gotta tell you - I like what you are doing. I think it is the right direction and track.

Love the looks of that boat.

I think there are some really good things happening with Sea Ray product development.

Good job!
