So I am cleaning up the deck and getting organized. I have storage for the lines and other items but I still just coil up the shore power on the deck while we are underway. I would like to find a nice looking, functional hanger for the cord that can be screwed into the area under the side area near the stern near the shore power hook-up. I have seen straps and basic hooks, does anyone have a better looking or better storage idea?

Thanks,

leave it at the dock when you depart. No clutter in cockpit.

If you visit transient slips often keep another cord set stored on board in a not so easy to access storage area, just for those occasions.

Not really what I am looking to do. The deck is already clutter free and the holds have enough stuff in them all ready. The area I want to add the shore power holders is under the gunnel and out of the way so no clutter if I hang it there. Also buying another shore power cord doesn't seem to make sense when the one I have is fine. Anyway, I have seen them coiled under the gunnel before on other 330-370's, just need to figure a good way to do it.

a relatively cheap option would be to install a decorative wall hanger made to hold garden hoses....there are some pretty nice ones available....i am sure there are some that are large enough and strong enough for this purpose.....

That may work, not a bad idea to look at. I was thinking maybe looking for one made out of starboard or stainless, something already for boats but repurposed. Taylor line straps might work. They are white and have the stainless twist locks on them I just don't know if they would be large enough for the cable.

that one is OK too but is it large enough?.....how long is your shore cable?....is it a single cable or double cable?....

Should be, I have a single 30amp / 50 feet. What are they 1/2"? 3/4"? If that holder carries 75ft of 3/4 like its says I should be good. What do you think?

yea, i'm thinking the shore cables are probably around 3/4" so you should be OK....the only thing to consider is if the outer wraps of the cord get higher than the front lip of the hanger there may be a chance the outer most wraps of cord could slip off the hanger if you run in rough seas....

True. I can rig a mini bungie loop like you see on some rail line wraps for sail boats. I just ordered it and I will post after its installed. Great idea you had with the stainless hose reels. Thanks!

Is there room to build a skinny and long storage bin with a hinged top out of starboard?

Just delivered and installed! Pics as promised. This will easily hold all 50' of 30amp cable and make things a little neater. It even looks good and being all stainless, including the screws, should hold up well.

I'm assuming that the location is an inner shell? or did you bolt right through side of the hull?

Yes, of course, inner shell. Not sure I would want two screws sticking out on the side of the EC, lol. Pretty big gap actually between the outer and inner hull, at least an inch and a half, maybe a bit more.
