Running on plane with Mid/Aft or both bimini tops up. Is this ok, or a no no for any reason? Anyone do it, or have had complications because of it?

We have ours up all the time with no issues.

Our 260 has it up at WOT. However I've read that you need to take them down for trailering.

I was going to post then realized the title of the thread is not "Bikini Tops at Speed" LOL

Mine has gone 40+ mph on the water more than once without incident, I take it down for trailering I think the side wobble on the road would be hard on it. Not mention it hieght when on the trailer.

Ours is always up on the water; sometimes just the front one and sometimes both are up. No problem with top speed of 40mph. However one time I did forget to take them down for trailering, and can unfortunately testify that yes, 60mph will result in real damage and some cost to fix.

Always up for boating. Always down for towing unless youi're just towing in town and never getting above 35-40mph.

Always had mine up on the water on my 240 even at speed and in the Oklahoma wind. A trick I learned from here was to put a half twist on the straps to prevent them from 'singing' .

Up 100% on the water. All are folded and "bagged" for trailering except the rear sunshade. Never had any issues.

I've always heard 45 is a good max with them up. My boat does 47 and never had s problem but I always fold it and put it in a boot for trailering.
