A Florida based 1987 390 Express Restoration

That just looks like it smells fresh. Very nice.

Ever since I replaced all the rotted stringers and gobs of other rotted wood above and below decks, mildewed upholstery, fixed all the leaks, treated all the cabinets inside and out with anti microbial - it smells like a new boat. Now it looks like a new boat.

Installed my carpet over the last two days. Who da thunk it would take 20 hours to install 250 sf of carpet squares. That was interesting...

Looks nice Al... almost a time warp! All that wood and carpet really brings back to the eighties

...and this would be the perfect go-fast companion :

Hmmmmmm. I am not sure how to interpret that. Back in the eighties we used natural materials like real teak. Not that formaldehyde soaked laminate and fake plastic wood in the 90's!

I meant back to a Sea Ray brochure from the 80ies...

My boat is no longer a Sea Ray 390EC. It is now an Albert 390EC and it will be so designated on the hull. I have burned the brochure!

Less than 3 weeks til splash. Waiting for the boat transport guy to get a day available. Very few transporters have hydraulic trailers.

Someone inquired how hard it would be to replace the diesel tach senders. I had to do it for my Faria gauges. The stock senders do 4 pulses per rev and Faria needs 8 pulses per rev. They simply unscrew by hand. Do not remove the long hex shaped nut that the senders screw in to. Do not lose the little bronze square thing that connects the engine to the sender. Use the one that was with the old sender. Do not use the plastic ones that came with the new sender.
