Crack open the output fitting on each pump with it running to bleed the air. Just be ready to tighten it back up cause it'll make a mess when they finally pick up.

+1, The other thing you can try is opening the cold water faucets in the master head and guest head.

I used to crack open the output at the pump, but I found opening these 'low' faucets works for me now.

Boats all back together , floors sealed with caulking again , engines purring well and furniture and carpet all back in place ....

Looking to buy a couple of self inflating life jackets that can be worn comfortably while traveling suggestions on brands and experience with these would be appreciated.

West marine has some. You need to determine if you need the offshore or coastal versions. About $100-200 each. We have the offshore versions for our center console when we go fishing about 20-30 miles out.

Thanks I checked out their YouTube video it was pretty informative I'm going with the offshore version. Based in NJ I need to run outside to avoid the shallow parts of the icw from time to time.

Thanks for the input everyone, the trick seemed to be opening the faucet in the engine room. Also, as an FYI, couldn't figure out why I had low pressure in the master head's shower. Hadn't opened the faucet on the bridge sink yet, once I did and purged the air, pressure in the shower was back to normal. God I wish I understood plumbing!!

Hello everyone, I wanted to see if I could get your thoughts on the 480DB? I currently have a 2000 460DA and I am considering the 480DB. I have found a 2003 with Cummins QSM11 engines with just over 400 hours on them. The electronics need to be upgraded but overall she is very clean and in wonderful condition. Thanks so much for your input.

I have Mustang and West Marine versions. While Mustang is more money and feels like better quality, I feel like West Marine version was more comfortable. I suggest going to the store compare them by trying them on and look through the specs to understand the differences.

Good for now. Your boat sounds good on the surface. Cummings are good engines. I know a lot I people like low hour diesels and these have less than 100hours per year. I you can tell us more that would be great. Make sure you get surveys. The 480 is a great boat.

So I just realized that our 480 has a 2 degree slope in the salon from for-aft. I never noticed during all my searches and surveys. Does everyone's? The lower sleeping quarters are level, so I would guess it is due to the engines being under the salon. Took me a month to realize.

how do you turn on overhead lights on bridge..... we are looking at a 48... cant figure out if we are not finding correct switch or if they are all out??

Just FYI.... We were able to find the large swim platform insert through MarineMax, who ordered directly from Sea Ray. There is a new part number for the larger insert: 2146584

~ $160 including shipping :smt089

Hello - new 48 owner here. Took delivery in March and moved from Mobile to our home in Cincinnati. Anyway, this weekend blew a hole in the blue 45 degree exhaust coupler on the starboard side. Anyone have a good source for them? Also, no part number that I could find but I am figuring they are 8". Thanks for any input.

Further to this. I pulled off the Trident coupler and found the burn that created the hole. It seems to line up with the water jacket holes that appear to be plugged. I guess I will pull off the exhaust to try and back flush and clean out the water jacket. Anyone ever seen this? Thanks

Trying to upload pics but it says I've exceeded my limit.
