I have a 1988 AJ 270 and want to put a new toilet, it's actually a request from the wife lol can anyone point me to which one will fit right in ? Thank you

What kind do you currently have? Make, model or dimensions, etc.

Its just what came with it, i have the bathroom with a pump out and all, just want to replace to toilet bowl and I want o know what options. O bought the boat 3 years ago and just used head for storage lol now wife wants it usable lol

Many, many things could have changed since 1988. The person that would know best what you have will be you! :smt001

I could take a guess that it might be a porta-potti. Most of them are "basically" the same. But you'll need to either look at the model number and then compare to new ones (Thetford, Dometic, etc) or take actual measurements of the size and mounting points - if you want to try and reuse the existing mounting locations w/o drilling new holes. Although that might be a long shot. The hose sizes are standard.

I have the Porta-Potti set up with pump out, and want to put in a holding tank and standard marine head such as the Jabsco twist-lock pump type, but was wondering if this head can be fastened directly to the floor with heavy screws, or does it need to be through bolted with nuts and washers. The reason I ask is because I don't believe in the 1990- 270 Dancer that there is any access to the sub floor there. From what I've seen, it looks as though these heads were just fastened down with large stainless screws into the floor. Question I have is the floor heavy/thick enough to run screws there?

If you don't already have a Vacuflush set up, but have a holding tank and hoses etc. a manual pump style head would be the best of both worlds. They are simple, inexpensive and don't require you to take you 'tank' to the bathroom to dump in a shore side toilet. They have china bowls and are only about $150-$200 at WM. We have a manual Jabsco and it works quite well.

I replaced mine with a Dometic Sanipottie 965MSD and it works very well. I didn't even have to replace the clamps that the old one set on. It has all the hookups with it. 147.00 online at Walmart, everyone else wanted over 200.00
