460 DA Owners Thread

So...anyone make any recent mods or plans to this spring?

I've done a few things. Removed the RL80CRC plotter and radar and installed a new Raymarine package. An E127, and an E125 with a new HD color open array radar. Next was a new Clarion stereo with new Wet sounds speakers. The blueooth and USB inputs to the stereo are nice. Where the old CD changer was I put 12V charger station for the I phones and I pads.

Nice fr8dog, what did that RM package cost, if you dont mind me asking - i need to upgrade.
The equipment was 9500.00. That included a new external gps antenna. The units have built in gps, but with a hard top I was not sure of the reception. I also spent a couple of hundred for a new trim panel from tecnografic. Did the install myself. I stuck with Ray because the interface to the autopilot and transducer was easy. Very happy with the equipment. I'll post a pic of the install soon.

Hi All,

We have been seriously considering upgrading to a 460 for over a year now and it looks like we may have found a candidate... A 2004 w/ Volvo diesels, under 700 hours and very nicely equipped. One of the options that came from the factory was a hydraulic swim platform. Does anyone know who was the OEM supplier for these during 2004? My guess is Florida Bow Thrusters, but also realize that at other points in time Sea Ray utilized T&T and I think more recently utilized Sea Lift. I'm trying to get an idea on max load of the lift for a inflatable or smaller Sea Doo setup.

Thanks.

My 2005 was equipped with a General Hydraulic Solutions lift. Not sure of the max weight, but either of those would be fine.

Hey guys, has anyone had trouble with their waste level gauge not registering the waste amount in the holding tanks? Mine shows empty when I know the levels are high in them. I have even pulled the floats and they are not stuck.

Had the same issue, replaced the whole sending unit. That solved the problem

This being a common problem I have seemed to forgotten the location of all the gfi plugs. My Starboard salon AC plugs are out and I can't seem to find the triggered gfi- what am I forgetting?

thanks!

Russ, Isn't the GFCI located in the stern head under the sink?

Good luck!

Hoping for some advice here please, I need to replace the windscreen filler strip / rubber on the front screen of my 460.

I can not find the rubber for sale anywhere, does anyone have a lead on where it can be bought, and what length required to do all front screen sections?

Thanks

Graham

Unless you just happen to find a source that has black closed cell foam sold by the foot in SAE dimensions instead of metric, even then you have to watch the dimensions closely because what you have has shrunken. Your only hope is most likely going to be Taylormade in the US:

They have redesigned the foam screw cover because they all shrink. THe replacement is an extruded rubber gasket formed to fit into and lock in t he screw channel on the bottom frame. While their proudcts are usually expensive, they are generally very helpful......just explain to them that you are not in the US and have no Sea Ray dealer and they will sell to you direct.

I am looking for the sofa controller for the aft cabin sofa. I have power to the switches, but nothing at the motors. The controller behind the power panel in the main salon appears to control the sofa in the main salon. Has anyone found where the back controller is located?

Thanks
Doug

My 2002 460 was a European specification boat from new, when I bought it 3 1/2 years ago the television aerial did not work. It was a Glomex 14" diameter unit.

I replaced with the only option available at the time, a similar but smaller Glomex (10") diameter, and whilst it does work, reception is not brilliant.

I would like to know (before spending $200) whether the 14" version will improve reception, any help appreciated.
