Any NASCAR fans on here ?

And Thunder Valley wouldn't be Thunder Valley (Bristol) without the load speakers to pump up the volume. Seems to be the loudest track I've been to for pumped up volume.

Don't forget how NASCAR expanded the chase to 12 drivers from 10 the year jr wasn't going to make it in.....
I won't even get started on Danica and the hope of inspiring women fans.

Before I label myself a troll on this thread, I will admit, I could enjoy watching wrestling as entertainment. I just have to go with the notion that cup racing is entertainment now.

Wow, wrestling but not NASCAR.

That fake moon landing back in the '60s must really drive you crazy...

I didn't make my point correctly.
I donot watch wrestling. I "could" with the understandng that it is staged.
Therefore, I could watch racing with the same understanding.

I just feel very differently, the goal in NASCAR is to win or finish as best they can and that is what ALL cars try to do over their competition no matter how points are awarded. All recalculating does is take the same finishing positions and do the points in a different way. For your point about format affecting points, one would need to assume that some teams/drivers finish positions would be different if they if(worse or that they didn't try to finish better) were in the old points system.

Here is my take on the "Chase"; all a team/driver need to do is run less mediocre than the other mediocre drivers to make the first cut, be a middling also ran to make the next cut, get hot to finish and win a "Championship". The old system required EVERY race to matter equally; the "Chase" format values some late season races over others.

MM

Your point works for me if the topic is comparing QB's from different era's, but NASCAR has always been just about winning races.
Don't forget why they developed the Chase... Before the Chase, It was typical for one driver to runaway with the points before the schedule was over.

The best money I ever spent was on this sound bar.

TURN IT UP !!. :smt038
