Hello, I have been browsing the forums for a while now, so I figured I would introduce myself. We purchased a 1991 350DA in September '14. We slip in the Ohio river just East of Cincinnati. Are there any Ohio River boaters here in the Cincinnati area? I have searched the forums (without a lot of success) for and official thread about our vintage boat. I look forward to spring and being back on the water!

Matt,
Welcome to ClubSeaRay! I live inside the 275 loop in NKY. We have a place up above Meldahl Dam so if you ever make it up that way, be sure to let me know. You should be able to click on my signature and see my location.

Last year we locked through and went down past New Richmond, saw the I-275 bridge but didn't go that far.

We have a few others on here. DPVandy keeps his boat somewhere west of downtown Cincy.

Wish - We are about 8 - 10 miles west of New Richmond at Four Seasons. This summer we will spend lots of time anchored near New Richmond. It is very quiet and smooth there so the kids can swim. If we lock through this year I will definitely let you know! We have been boating a long time with our Nautique, but this is our first cruiser. With our abbreviated season last year, we look forward to a full season this year!

Cheers!

Yep, know where four seasons is. The day we were at New Richmond it was chaos. It was some kind of festival and boats were every. Waves were everywhere because so many boats. If you come up by the dam but don't lock through maybe I could meet you at the sandy beach.

Welcome Matt. We keep our boat on Brookville Lake, Ind.

When we had our previous boats, we spent lots of time on the Ohio river around Cincy.

Welcome. There is a 350 Sundance thread here at CSR.

Ten - We have quite a few friends that have been boating Brookville every weekend for many years. A few of them are moving their boats to Cumberland or just selling them for "go fast" boats. We would splash at Brookville a few times per season with our Nautique, but always preferred the river.

There are so many things to do between New Richmond and Lawrenceburg. Concerts at riverbend, Friday night fireworks, Bengals games, restaurants, Party in the park, WEBN Fireworks, raft up with friends. The possibilities are nearly endless. One of our favorite things to do with the Nautique was to launch at The Serpentine wall, cross the Ohio into the Licking River, wakeboard for a while, then head down to Riverbend for a concert. On the way back to the ramp we would typically dock at Hooters and order wings and eat them on the boat.

Commercial traffic scares a lot of people away, but boating anywhere has its own set of risks. We have personally never had any close calls on the river. A little common sense goes a long way.

We would be happy to meet up this year and show you around.

Ill work on getting some pictures uploaded.

Only 2 more months!
