Tune-up question for 496 MAG - Plug wires

I am planning a tune-up this offseason on my single 2007 Mercruiser 496 MAG. Two questions:

1) Besides spark plugs and wires, what else is recommended during a tune-up for the 496?

2) Spark plugs were easy to find; however, OEM plug wires seem to be cost prohibitive ($600-700). What are the alternatives? There are AC Delco marine wires at places like MichiganMotorz.com for $55.95. What can be trusted for extended use on the 496?

i got my wires there in the spring - no issues at all. Cleaning the flame arresters is a good idea too.

Call Taylor spark plug wires, I had mine custom made for about $150 each engine, they work great and last for years
