Ok we had a small 50 dollar MW from walmart we kept on the counter in the 245, Now its time to put it in the 268 any Ideas? Show me some pics of where you have mounted yours.

Not sure if the 268 is similar with the V-berth layout but here is where I placed it in our 270DA:

(copied from the restoration post)
In the forward berth on the starboard side there was a cushion that can be relocated to make a seat which was never used.
This "seat" area below made a good location for our microwave.
I made a sub floor for it and screwed it down to the existing ribs that supported the cushion. A slight angle had to be cut into the forward trim piece.
The microwave was then attached to the sub floor with (4) brass angle brackets on the sides.

Yours is laid out a little different than mine, where yours is mounted mines fiberglass and covered with carpet, part of the hull and cabin. I read an older post where someone was talking about under the sink where the storage space is at. wish i could see pics of his

I know this is off the subject, but i filled up the fresh water tanks today and flipped the water switch and nothing. the water pump didn't even prime ill check tomorrow on the switch then the motor, have you had any problems with your fresh water system. we also fired up the motor today seeing how i got the boat without even hearing the engine run. built the batts up and it fired right up, half a tank of gas in it and ran like it was brand new.

Our fresh water pump died a few years back and had to be replaced. I ended up going to a local RV dealer for it, much less expensive than a boat dealer for the same thing.
Glad it's running good for you.

I mounted my microwave under the forward v-birth. I made a simple little shelf with a slight angle to it to keep the microwave from walking off the shelf while running in rough seas. So far, it has never jumped off the shelf and it works very well in that spot and does not take up space on the boat.

Ignore my buddy eating his sammich and olives. You can see the location in the bottom right corner of this pic.

I'll try to get some better pics for you tonight.
