CSR Lake Erie Islands 2014 Rendezvous (Paper District Marina Sandusky)

Do we have a volunteer to pick up plates and utensils?

I plan on bringing the Jambalaya again this year since it went over so well last year.

I am also going to bring a corn salsa with tortillas chips (new recipe)

Jess requested my BLT dip for Friday night so I'll have that as well.

Finally I am bringing a strawberry desert for saturday.

We have 4 8 foot tables and 20 chairs to use for Friday and Saturday. I will be taking donations to help with the cost of the rentals because the company gave us a great rate.

I will arrive Friday around 4 and we will have the luncheon around 1 ish. Looking forward to it everyone!

We'll take care of the plates and utensils. Also will bring a Greek Salad. Looking forward to seeing everyone.

We will bring hot dogs, brats and macaroni salad. Is anyone bringing a grill? I have charcoal and a small propane grill if needed.

Casey is bringing a grill to share... but if you have room it may be nice to have?

Yes, we are bringing the 22"" Weber Kettle Grill, Charcoal, and Lighter Fluid. Will also bring along extension cords and power strips for those that need power for crock pots, blenders, etc.
 
How do we look on the shore power situation. I assume you will go on the 30 amp side since you will be both nights. I have a 50 amp converter so if need be i can go over the 50amp side.. Bob is coming in the same time as me so if there isn't room on the 30amp side can he borrow your spliter for the evening?
 
Highs in the upper 70s and southwest winds at 5 MPH. Today looks like a good Erie day.

Post a few pictures when you can. I swear one of these times I'm going to make it out there with you guys.
 
Bad news Shannon and I cannot make it. We were going to surprise everyone and show up in an old searay but that fell through then we started worrying about the weather and now the house needs some attention

Thank you Jason and Casey and everyone else who helped this years Rendezvous. It was Ruth and I first time and looking forward for the next one. It was nice meeting everyone and the weather turned out to be pretty good also.Thanks to everyone we had a great time.

 
Heads up if anyone is still out there. A very strong storm cell just blew over Lake St. Clair and there's more to follow. Strong wind, downpours and lots of lightning.

Hope everyone had a good time this weekend at the Paper District Marina - Sandusky, OH. With the exception of a few evening/late night showers the weather was wonderful. It was great to see old friends and to meet new ones. I am sure more pictures will be posted and Jason will once again put together a video for all to enjoy. Plans are already in the works for the Fourth Annual CSR Lake Erie Islands Rendezvous in 2015!

Part of our get together is to provide every boat with a "Welcome Bag". The bag contains product samples, literature, coupons, etc. form various manufactures associated in some way with the recreational marine industry. The idea is to have a bag filled with goodies much like you would have after walking the aisles of a boat show. Many companies provided materials for all the bags. Other chose to donate items that were given away in a drawing.
