Coolest boat names?

I've posted this before... no lie...a guy in our marina named his boat "Sofa King Happy."

Say it 5 times really fast, but not around the kids.

Maybe he's just a happy owner of a Sofa King retail store! :smt043

That's what I thought, and asked. Not the case!

We were anchored off Crystal Beach last weekend. A few other boats tied up around us along a 1 mile stretch.
In the distance I make out a name on the stern of a small cuddy: "WITHOUT A HITCH"
Told the wife about it but used a "B" instead of the "H".

We bought our boat this past February. Wife and I have been going through some difficulties and going out on the boat together and as a family has done wonders for bringing us together. I think we're going to name ours Therapy Afloat or AquaTherapy.

Excellent!
Im sure there are too many cases where a boat, (or other expensive venture) have had the opposite effect.

Wife and I are tossing around a few ideas. she is pregnant with our first and just finding the boat was a 2 year chore. you can imagine how it must have been to have your pregnant wife climbing up swim platform ladders in dry dock to climb aboard several boats in 97* temps and 90% humidity.
i have tossed the ideas of
Wife's name : First and middle
Daughter's name : first and middle, although it might be bad luck as she isn't born yet
Our initials : "AC DC", so that is an idea although my grandmother said "that is what we called people that went both ways" so she wouldn't be happy about that one.
a friend of ours thought it would be funny to name it : "She got the house" although it has no bearing on our situation he just thought it would be funny

First time posting. My dad just hit his midlife crisis at 60 and bought a 450DA in Michigan City. It's former name was Victoria, but this winter a new name, " Incognito" will grace her stern. I came up with the name because this boat is our family secret. They are small town folk and don't want to be the topic of discussion at the coffee shop.

It is at the Washington Park Marina, in the same slip it was before too so I'm sure some of you will/have seen her.

Also, I'm not going to pretend its my boat, it's definitely my parents', but they don't get too techy with forums.

Saw a very smart wooden little day boat on the river Thames once called: "Coo-E-Two" I thought that was rather cute.

There is a little sailboat in our marina that is bright pink.......wait for it........

The name is Floyd.

There is nothing too clever about the name of our boat but it does have meaning. We named the boat Makai which is Hawaiian for "to the sea." And that is what we plan to do when we retire in a couple of years. We plan to cruise up to the NW first and then South and East.

Hell, everyone is heading up North, what gives?

I'm a tax attorney by trade so our boat is named Tax Holiday which is also a term of art in the tax field. Similarly, I've seen a boat at my marina named Knot On Call...presumably owned by a physician.

We named our boat after my mother in law. She always wanted a boat and when she heard we were buying one she offered to help pay for it. Much to our surprise. A very nice gift. Everyone calls her Marilyn D. So my wife put a play of words to it and we call it "The Marlin D" with a picture of a marlin. I know, call me a suck a--, but she loved it. Every point counts, I say. Will get a picture up soon if I find out how to do it.

No offense intended but that sounds like a good name for a tug boat.

Wife's name is Robin, boats name is Robin's Nest. Pretty easy and not many boats named Robin's Nest due to the fact you should really be named Robin to do that. Oh yeah, and our dinghy is named Tweety Bird.

I took a pic of one I can't seem to upload to photobucket...
it was a sailboat named Seaworthy.
the name was right above a very ugly blop of fiberglass about 3 feet long and a foot high at the waterline where there had been a BIG hole :wow:
