Hi,
We brought our first boat, a black 2006 220 Select, home last week. It has a 350 Mag and Alpha One drive with just over 100 hrs. It has a full sunpad instead of the walk through and jump seat. A feature I like so far and that seems to be kind of rare, at least in the other 220 Selects I looked at.
A good friend who recently sold his runabout gave up an afternoon for a shakedown cruise and some practice launching and recovering off the trailer. We've had it out three other times since and we absolutely love it! That first day out with my wife and two kids was literally the culmination of a dream and we're looking forward to many more days like that in the years to come.
Sadly, I had a tire on the rear axle of my trailer blow out on the way home Saturday. No damage to the boat, trailer, or wheel and I was less than a mile from the storage facility. For some reason I was unable to source a ST185/80 13 in radial or bias ply anywhere in DFW. There might be one out there but I couldn't find it so I ordered two(another tire has bulging sidewalls) and a spare tire and wheel. The tires are probably original and I'm thinking I'd do well to replace the other two as soon as possible.
I've got a few little things to work out but those fall a bit beyond the scope of an introduction so I'll find the correct forums and post there. Pics to follow just as soon as I get it washed up.
This forum has been a great help to me from purchase considerations to getting that wheel off the ground to pull it. Thanks to those members who asked and answered the questions I would have later on!
